In partnership with Nokia, we were thrilled to host the 2nd annual g4g Day in the vibrant and youthful town of... Oulu, Finland!
Together, we invited 100 girls aged 11-15 to the impressive Nokia facilities in Oulu where they will have an opportunity to discover the link between STEM & the everyday during interactive, fun workshops in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics!

What? Welcoming 100 girls aged 11-15 from local schools to join us for a g4g Day filled with interactive & hands-on fun in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math!
How? We invite role model professionals to lead 45 minute workshops that show the link to STEM; 12 - 15 girls in one workshop; a chance to experience 4 workshops throughout the day.

2018
On March 20th, 2018, we teamed up with Nokia Global Careers to welcome 100 local girls aged 11 - 15 at the Nokia facilities in Oulu, Finland. This was our third and last stop in Finland with Nokia, following an event at the Nokia Executive Experience Center in Espoo, and one at the Nokia premises in Tampere. Along with incredible volunteers we were thrilled to see the girls experience how the link between STEM & the everyday during interactive, fun workshops in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics! 2017
In March 2017 we had our first event ever in Tampere at the Nokia Tampere facilities! This was one of three Finnish events that we were able to make happen thanks to Nokia, the two other being in Espoo and in Oulu. We inspired over 400 girls and all 3 cities are preparing for their 2nd annual g4g Day in 2018.

Meet the Team!
Mervi chose Industrial Engineering and Management for her studies as she was interested in combining engineering with economics. She has worked in telecommunication industry for 20 years mainly in RD and supply chain interface and considers herself more a people oriented generalist than technology specialist, but is fascinated how we can improve lives of people with help of technology. Her two daughters, husband and a dog will have her time outside office hours, apart the time she is running in woods with a compass and a map.

Having grown up wanting to be Indiana Jones, Alexaundra loves to find new ways to combine her passions for science, history, languages and world travel. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree and co-teaching an after school science program.

Heli is a mum of two sons and an engineer. She works at Nokia in planning and leading organizations and teams to change along with future needs. She likes sports and nature, and is a fan of her sons’ ice hockey and tennis teams. (Finnish) Heli on kahden pojan äiti ja diplomi-insinööri. Hän työskentelee Nokialla organisaatioiden ja tiimien tulevaisuuden muutosten suunnittelijana ja johtajana. Hän tykkää liikunnasta ja luonnosta, ja fanittaa poikiensa jääkiekko- ja tennistiimejä.

Melissa Rancourt, Chairman & Founder. Melissa is an engineer herself and loves the Big Bang TV show. So much so that she does a workshop based on it which has proved to be one of the favourites of the girls. Melissa is a true science geek and doesn't mind who knows this!

From global communications & event coordinating, she manages various g4g internal projects, creates science workshops, supervises our lovely young interns and ambassadors and loves to lead the DNA workshop across the globe!
