The g4g / BSU partnership

History & goals

BSU and g4g are working together to help inspire the future leaders of STEM!

We have been working together with Bridgewater State University for four years, providing learning experiences to encourage girls to consider STEM-related careers when we decided to establish an official partnership, in June 2018.

Every year for the past four years we organized g4g Days @BSU inviting more than 130 girls aged 11-15 every time. Now is time for more!

We believe that education will provide growth opportunities to these girls, and we want to help them reach their full potential. From teacher training, to Science Summer camps, to a University Ambassador program, and more g4g events… We have many exciting ideas to make this partnership a unique experience!

They all experienced two fund and hands-on experiments and got inspired by the wonderful role models who spoke during our opening ceremony. Girls discovered everything there is to know about robots, extreme weather, environmental engineering, aviation, craters on the moon, 3d design, and so much more! This event was also possible thanks to the brilliant collaboration with BSU's Center for the Advancement of STEM Education.

On April 7, we welcomed 130 girls for our 3rd annual g4g Day @BSU in partnership with BSU's Center for the Advancement of STEM Education (CASE). After meeting with Dr. Diana Fox, Professor of Anthropology and Department Chair at BSU, our guest speaker for the event, the girls got to spend their morning engaged in hands-on workshops showing the link between STEM and their everyday life. One of our favorite moments? When one of the girls made her own model of the lungs in a bottle and shouted “Everything is Science!”!
