#weareGROWING!!  Join our g4g Team!

Do you have a creative & curious edge? Interested in inspiring more girls in #STEM? Join us!

We are a personal, international, and dynamic bunch who thrive on brainstorming, #hashtags, and coffee runs (tea is also okay... all right, H2O is acceptable😉). We're often rolling to airports in an instant with peculiar science materials in tow, ready to inspire the world! We love all things quirky, techy, innovative, forward thinking, and truly believe that science is linked to everything and anything around us.

For our growing headquarters team in Brussels and in the US, we have big shoes to fill and lots of hats to wear! We are looking for a few new members of our team who are flexible, ready to take on a challenge, and can work as an independent contractor or intern (all with future growth potential!).

OPEN POSITION:  2 University Interns

We are looking for curious and solutions-driven team players who are ready to ignite ideas and are motivated to make a difference. You don’t need to have an extensive knowledge or experience, but you will be passionate about STEM and how it can transform the future. All interns, regardless of role, should have a learning mindset to embrace the evolving work we do, strong written and oral communication skills, and possess a can-do, enthusiastic attitude. We wish to contribute to building a world where everyone has an equality of opportunity. All are welcome to apply - regardless of your academic performance, field of study, professional experience, geography, and/or background.

NOTE: You must be an enrolled university student (bachelors or associates degree), preferably following an internship program at your university.

  • University Intern – Database Coordinator

Working directly with our Chief of Staff and in collaboration with our Communications and Engagement Manager, you’ll help us build a robust and cohesive CRM system that allows us to better engage STEM explorers and enthusiasts around the globe. You’ll have the ability to work with existing systems, learn new skills, and make recommendations for ways we can more effectively capture our data.

  • University Intern – Knowledge Coordinator

Working in collaboration with our Chief of Staff, you’ll help capture and document our insights, ways of operating, and best practices, and ensure that our internal knowledge is accessible for all future team members. As a growing organisation with a LOT of expertise, we want to ensure that our ways of operating are consistent for any team member and partner, particularly as we grow and scale in other parts of the world. You’ll have the ability to learn about running a global organisation, and contribute to systems and processes that facilitate efficiency and expansion.

How do you know you are just the person we are looking for?

  • You are collaborative & independent - we have a lovely and cosy atelier space in Brussels, if you are already living in this area, or you can work virtually - we would ask that you to be able to work collaboratively and contribute to the team, while still being able to manage your time, time zones and be able to work autonomously.

  • Must love to learn! You don’t need to be a science wiz, but you must love to learn. Our team comes from different academic backgrounds, but we all have one thing in common - the desire to learn more about the fast & innovative world of science & technology.

  • Open to travel and adaptable to new cultures! Working around the world, as an organisation, we thrive on meeting and engaging new people and languages. This means we need you to be open to networking and communicating with different cultures and personalities.

  • You are social media savvy - Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube (Snapchat is a plus, but not a necessity ;-) - and have an insatiable curiosity.

  • You are IT savvy – you don’t need to be an expert, but we encourage our geeky-selves to get excited about sharing new ways in all our technology systems to make our life easier!

  • Adaptable adventurous! You have ability and willingness to jump right into different tasks and events and manage multiple assignments in parallel.

  • Organised and systematic personality with strong autonomous project management skills for all roles.

  • Passion. We love people who show strong support to our cause and in addition encourage you to bring your passions and quirks to the table.

  • You must be legally allowed to work in Belgium, Europe, or the US, and ideal candidates would already have established freelance/independent status or be enrolled in a college/university.
