On May 25-27th, 2016...

The first ever g4g and Cisco event in Belgrade, Serbia! In May 2016, we launched the g4g@work concept in the Cisco offices of Belgrade. With three afternoons of interactive and fun technology workshops, the team invited 60 girls aged 11-15 from three different neighboring cities: Belgrade, Novi Sad and Novi Pazar!

Three cities - three days - three workshops!

Each day welcomed 20-25 girls come in from a different city for an a afternoon of three hands-on workshops including learning about programming and electronics with Arduino kits, experiencing the world of coding and connecting everyone on live feed to Cisco professionals around the world via Telepresence Video Technology! Thanks to our Cisco partners and support from the Ministry of Tourism, Trade and Telecommunications, at the end of the day these girls proudly became Cisco Certified Future Engineers (CCFE)!

How did we get here?

Considering the huge success of Cisco's custom-made, hands-on workshops, we took our collaboration to the next level & introduced a new global concept: g4g@work inspired by an incredible team of Cisco role-models! Read up on it here!

Jelena's stepfather created an interest in technology by introducing her to car mechanics instead of having her play with dolls. She believes in power of education and is dedicated to promoting girls in STEM. In 2016, she is bringing greenlight for girls passion to Belgrade, Serbia by launching our g4g@work initiative at Cisco!
