g4g was back in Athens for another fantastic event!

Together with Campion, an international school in Pallini, we're happy to have been back in action in one of the oldest cities in the world! From bringing a robot to life and discovering how computers “chat” with each other to the sweet taste of chocolate and the scent of flowers (and much more!), 100 girls had the fantastic chance to meet inspirational role models and discover the unbelievably fun in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics!

Athina is a devotee/aficionado of science and her dream was to become a mechanical engineer for aircrafts. She went on to obtain her PhD in European Politics and Bargaining but she remained fully devoted to STEM! For the last 15 years she's been actively involved in promoting science communication & evaluating research projects for the EU & Commission; whilst spreading & promoting the magic of science to girls of all ages and backgrounds both in and outside the classroom. She is currently coordinating the organisation of the g4g Day in Athens in collaboration with Campion School, involving school girls but also underprivileged girls from two Athens' refugee camps.
