g4g Broadcast: Community with CDK Global

Please keep in mind that the time displayed is in Central European time.

On 16 August…

You are cordially invited to this very special edition of Science, you had me at hello®, which has been organised in collaboration with CDK Global.

For the third year in a row, g4g and CDK Global, an automotive industry leader, have collaborated to create a unique and community-focused STEM Challenge throughout the summer! During this six-week programme, 98 CDK Global interns collaborated to bring science and innovation to life by developing community-engaged initiatives. On August 16th, they will share the results with us!

During this broadcast episode, we will announce the winning teams. Interns will also get the opportunity to discuss their experiences. The interns will also have a chance to share with us their journey, the challenges they faced, their own inspiration in STEM, their learning outcome, and more. We’ll also be joined by some of CDK Global’s leadership.

What: Our broadcast will gather inspiring STEM role models, excited to share their stories, their inspiration, their wishes with the attendees.

When: Tuesday, August 16th, at 9am Pacific time / 12 noon Eastern time / 6pm Central European time. Our broadcast will last for 1 hour.

Where: This live broadcast will take place on the platform Zoom. Please be reassured that we are utilizing Zoom’s safety functions and that we will be monitoring online safety during the broadcast by having a Safety Officer as part of our dedicated behind-the-scenes team.

Why: From our own Impact studies, we know that one thing is key to inspiring girls to pursue STEM subjects – and that is, to provide a community of role models. Tailored to our older g4g students who are determining what studies to pursue in university, our broadcasts “Science, you had me at hello® connect female scientists and STEM leaders to the next generation of potential engineers, scientists and curiosity-filled young women. They are designed to encourage you to think about what inspires you, to begin to contemplate your purpose and to create some ideas on how you can get there.
